The Level 3 NCEA students had to present their final design work to their client today. This was the culmination of a large amount of work which involved them having a lot of regular contact with their client. They have to produce work that fulfills the needs of someone other than themselves, which is a new experience in their design work. Consultation with the client is required at each stage to ensure they are following the design brief to the full. They have produced questionnaires to establish the original brief and then verbal contact was necessary after each stage to check on the progress and to show the client the design work as it happened.
Their design work has involved a combination of hand drawings, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe illustrator and some model making.
Mrs. Moore, the client, saw the work for the final time today and she was delighted by all of it.
The photographs show Mrs. Moore and the students with their final presentation boards.
